A great trip for those who are a bit short on time but would like to experience the best of northern Thailand!
This two day trip is walking only and no elephants or elephant riding. Just walking through beautiful jungle to enjoy the nature amazing views and wildlife. This is a unique chance to explore Thailand that you won’t forget in a hurry!
A center of treks into the mountainous northern areas, home of hill tribes, Chiang Mai offer unique opportunities for the adventurous. Lush hill and virgin forests are scenic backdrops that will make your trekking by foot. The most popular trails are in Doi Inthanon National Area. This trip is for people who looking for a more authentic trek and whom love nature and trekking.
Day 1:
* 07:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel/guesthouse/hostel.
* First, we drive about 45 minutes to a local market, where you can have a coffee or buy some snacks and personal supplies if needed. Then it’s another 20-minute drive to the starting point at a Karen village. Here, we’ll give you a short briefing before beginning our hike through the farmlands of the hill tribes.
* After approximately 4 hours of hiking through the stunning natural landscape, we’ll reach a waterfall where we’ll stop for lunch. From there, we trek for another 3 hours to reach our remote jungle camp and settle in for the night.
* In the early evening, it’s time to cook—you’re welcome to join our guide in preparing dinner and learn about the herbs and ingredients used in Thai food.
* After enjoying a delicious meal, we’ll relax around the campfire, gaze at the stars, and share stories—an unforgettable night in the jungle.
Day 2:
* Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and the barking of village dogs, then gather for breakfast.
* Once we’ve regained our energy, we’ll begin another hike through nature. The unique area of Doi Inthanon is one of the last habitats of the Asiatic black bear, Assamese macaque, and several species of monkeys and gibbons.
* Passing through this beautiful landscape, we’ll arrive at another hill tribe village where we’ll stop for lunch. After a bit of rest, we’ll continue hiking for about 3 more hours to reach another waterfall—perfect for a refreshing break—before making our way back to the truck.
* We’ll return to Chiang Mai around 5:00 PM.
