2 days elephant sanctuary & Trekking (No Elephant Riding)
Itinerary:
Day 1: 08.00-08.20 a.m. pick you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and drive about 30 minutes to the local market, stop there about 20 minutes to buy foods and supply for elephant and guest. Continue driving 40 minutes more to the sanctuary. After arrive there, change into the uniform provided. Then, learn basic information about the elephant and the sanctuary. Meet elephant in the forest and escort them back to the sanctuary, feeding by hand and being with them closely. Learning and making the karen hilltribe method herbal medicine for elephant. Have traditional Thai lunch. Mud bathing and take a walk along with elephant, let them roam and eat natural grass in the forest. Bath and swim with elephant. Walk about 10 minutes to relax at the waterfall nearby. Then, back to have dinner and stay overnight at Karen hilltribe homestay.
Day 2: After breakfast, walk to the Sanctuary to visit your elephant, feed and look after them. Then, walk 10 minutes to relax at the waterfall and continue trekking 1 hour along natural trail to the bat cave. After explore the bat cave, trekking more 1 hour to the Shan village to have lunch and relax there. Then, do the bamboo rafting about 1 hour along Mae Wang river. Change cloth and back to your hotel in Chiang Mai about 16.00-17.00 pm.
