Chiang Mai Local Transport & Walking Tour with Temple Visit

Chiang Mai offers a variety of local transport options, including tuk-tuks, songthaews (shared red trucks), and Samlor bicycle rickshaws.

Itinerary:

* At 07.00 am. We will begin by picking you up at your hotel in the city center by using tuk-tuks. These three-wheeled vehicles will take you to two must-visit locations: Warorot Market, also known as Kad Luang. This bustling market is one of the most famous in Chiang Mai, attracting both locals and tourists. It offers a wide range of goods, including fresh produce such as fruits, flowers, vegetables, herbs, and spices. The market is also a haven for food lovers, with numerous stalls serving a wide selection of Thai street food, from traditional dishes to snacks and sweets. During our visit, we'll make a stop to sample "Pa Tong Go" ("Ko Neng"), a local favorite - Fried Dough Sticks.

* Next, we will take a leisurely walk along The Chansom Memorial Foot Bridge, a bridge connecting the Wat Ket neighborhood with Kad Luang. Since the collapse of the Khua Kula, the first bridge in Chiang Mai spanning the Ping River in 1932, there has been no permanent bridge connecting the Wat Ket neighborhood with Kad Luang.

* We'll then visit Wat Ket Karam, a temple with a history spanning several centuries. Its roots can be traced back to a time when river transport was vital for trade and communication. This temple played a pivotal role as a significant river landing for travelers journeying from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and other southern cities. Its historical role as a cultural crossroads, welcoming diverse communities and travelers, has left an indelible mark on its identity.

* After that we'll take a rickshaw ride to visit Tha Phae Gate (a popular starting point for walking tours), and We'll ride through the main street in the center of the old city to visit Wat Pra Singh.

* Following our walking tour to the Three King Monument and we'll take a Red Taxi or Songthaews, shared pickups with benches, to return you to your hotel.

Please Note: The tour itinerary is flexible and can be adjusted during the tour based on weather conditions and other factors, while preserving the same overall concept. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and staying hydrated while exploring the city on foot.
