Alms or almsgiving is a religious rite which, in general, involves giving materially to another as an act of religious virtue.
It was truly one of the highlights of experience Alms Giving and to learn about Thai Buddhism. This has to be done early in the morning because the monks must eat their food by midday. Witnessing this is certainly a must when visiting Thailand.
Our next stop was Doi Suthep, the temple that sits high on a mountaintop and the gem of Chiang Mai.
Sightseeing at some of the wonderful temples in, and around Chiang Mai? Many are hundreds of years old and Chiang Mai’s own Temple on the Mountain is Wat Doi Suthep – a beautiful golden temple, situated up the mountain at over a 1053 metres. Doi Suthep remains an important sight that first time visitors to Chiang Mai shouldn't miss.
After that we will go to visit Thai Elephant Conservation Center. The show at the Thai Elephant Conservation Center is unlike many other shows that exist in Thailand. The elephants are not made to perform degrading tricks like playing football, basketball or lifting weights. They only do what they have been traditionally trained to do. One of the main reasons we train them is so that medical treatment is easier to administer. For example when they lay down the feet can be examined without the need of tranquilizer

* On the way up to visit Doi Suthep Temple in front of Kruba Srivichai Monument, we will pay respect to monks and do Morning Alms Giving.
* Drive up to visit Doi Suthep Temple – One of five Royal Temples in Chiang Mai, It is not only an important and holy temple but also famous tourist area. This is Chiang Mai's most important and most visible landmark
* Drive to visit Thai Elephant Conservation Lampang
* Watch Elephant bathing and Show
* Visit Elephant hospital
* Return to your hotel
