Trip overview:
This hiking and biking tour is one of our most popular trips and covers a lot of ground! This begins with a three hour trek through stunning jungle and bamboo forest as well as a visit to a Karen hill tribe village. Finish the trek at a beautiful waterfall where you can enjoy the view and soak your feet in the cool water while eating a delicious Thai style lunch with fresh fruit on the side. After lunch is finished you are on to the biking portion of the trip! Ride through lush, green rice fields, past golden temples and enjoy some long, gentle down hills on this afternoon ride in the Mae Sa valley.

Itinerary:
08.30 Meeting at your Chiang Mai hotel and transfer to the Mae Sa valley and our trek starting point.
10.00 Arrive at our trek starting point, and start a beautiful nature walk through some pristine forest, ending at a Karen hill tribe village. Guided by your experienced trekking guide, which will share it’s knowledge of the area and explain the customs of the village life in Northern Thailand.
12.30-13.00 Transfer to a stunning waterfall for a Thai style lunch
14.00 Start our cycling trip, here from the waterfall, going mostly downhill on a paved road. We then ride through small alleys and rural roads, as well as easy off road trails through rice paddies, forest and plantations.
16.00 End of the ride. We finish our riding in Mae Sa valley at an “orchid plantation” where we meet our support vehicle for a transfer back to Chiang Mai, and drop off at your hotel (17.00 / 17.30).

General Information
Departures: From Chiang Mai, departure every day
Fitness Level: Suitable for participants in good fitness condition!
What to bring on this day trip: For the trekking part, you will need a day pack. Take also mosquito repellent, sun cream, sunglasses, a hat or cap, a sarong or quick-dry towel, your camera, and a bottle of drinking water (provided).
Participants will also use this back-pack while during the cycling part. Please bring a 25L to 35L size hiking pack.
Bring a short or a swimsuit if you want to refresh or bathe in the waterfall.
Footwear: hiking shoes with hard soles, as runners, also worn later for the cycling part.
We recommend a padded short and cycling gloves for the cycling section.
Please wear a sport outfit for this day, bring a raincoat during the raining season and a fleece in winter season.
What we provide:
We provide 24 gears TREK® brand mountain-bikes.
We carry various models in different frame size. Helmet and water bottle are provided.
We provide also drinking water (1.5L bottles) during the activities and participants can always purchase soft drinks at local shops.
Season:
This trip is operated all year long, and each season is a different experience.
Best (coolest) season is from October to end of February.
During raining season from June to September the nature is beautiful lush green.
March and April are usually very hot and dry months.
Trekking itinerary can be slightly modified according to the season
