The most popular trails are in Doi Inthanon National Park where over 300 bird species and a wide variety of orchids and other flowers can be seen.
Doi Inthanon, being the highest mountain in Thailand, has much to offer tourists visiting Chiang Mai. It has a wide spectrum of tourist attractions from the magnificent Wachiratharn waterfalls, the twin stupas – namely Phra Mahathat Napaphon Bhumisiri Chedi and Napamaytanidol Chedi – built in honor of the King and Queen respectively
However, Mae Klang Luang village is a place that seems to attract many tourists, Thai and foreigners alike. Located at Km.26 on the road toward the top of Doi Inthanon, Mae Klang Luang village is being promoted as an Eco-tourism destination. This village belongs to an ethnic group, known as Pakakayor or Karen, a hill people who migrated from Burma some centuries ago. Pha Dok Siew waterfall (the hidden waterfall) and rain forest etc (From Nov-Feb the weather is quite cold).
Itinerary:
* Pick up from your hotel in the city center between 07.00-07.30
am.
* We will drive about 2 hours to Doi Innthanon National Park and visit the
highest mountain of Thailand 2,565 metres above the sea level
* Visit King & Queen pagoda
* Visit Hmong Market
* Thai Lunch
* Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail with about 2 hours trekking through the forest rice
field ( Rice field depend on season) and visit Baan Mae Klang Luang, they make their own coffee by their
own community at Karen Village
* Visit Wachiratharn Waterfall
* Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai about 05.00-05.30 pm.
