Walking Street
Walking street is opens on Sunday night only on Ratchadamnoen Road and
intersects with Phrapokklao Road. You will get your first taste of a
traditional Northern Thai shopping experience. Everything appears here, (a
willy-nilly sprawl of shopping) , clothing, ceramics, handicrafts, foods,
dessert or snack and many other things. |

Warrorat Market is located several blocks north of Night Bazaar where
Changklan Road intersects with Changmoi Road. Warorot have everything from
gold jeweliry to tennis shoes to fresh flowers, fruits, foods, clothing,
handicrafts, beauty supplies, shoes and anything else. You can have a
relaxing day at a very inexpensive Thai shopping market. Open daily. |

Sankamphaeng, a
district in Chiangmai, is famous for silk and a cotton-weaving
village. It is located 13 kilometres from the east of Chiangmai
town. Most of the visitors to Chiangmai visit Sankamphaeng for
souvenirs that are made from high quality but inexpensive silk and
cotton. The village showcase a weaving factory as well as silk
weaving process. There are factories and souvenir shops that sell
woodcarving, silverware, earthware, lacquerware and cotton fabrics. |

Ban Thawai is famous for antique imitation. and is a major centre of
furniture making. Principal woods and meterials include teak, rosewood and
rattan. Open daily 8.00-17.00 |

Plaza’s
In Chiang Mai there are many plaza’s of which the two largest are
Airport Plaza and Central Plaza. Both plaza’s are easily accessed by
Songtieow or Tuk-tuk and have ample parking facilities. The shops cover
multi-floors which have both escalator and lift access. You will find
many brand name shops here and supermarkets, cinemas and restaurants in
both plaza’s. |
